XPE foam and IXPE foam

Sometimes customers ask us for Plastazote Polyethylene Foam. What is Plastazote Polyethylene Foam? In fact it is a closed cell cross-linked polyethylene foam. We also call it XPE foam (chemical cross-linked polyethylene foam or chemically cross-linked polyethylene glycol). The foam is a kind of polymer foam material which is made by mixing polyethylene with various fillers adding chemical cross linking agent and foaming agent.

XPE is an ideal material for heat preservation of automobiles and air conditioners. It has developed rapidly in the sporting goods market in recent years, such as surfboard, moisture proof mat, yoga mat and so on. Also can be used in buildings and applications in flame retardant materials.

IXPE foam is also a close cell cross linked polyethylene foam but with anti static or conductive property. Permanent anti static, excellent electrical conductivity also good buffer performance, high temperature and chemical resistance make it being widely used in the automotive and packaging industry, mainly in the packaging, transportation and storage of electronics factories.
